
After experiencing weeks of moderate Bitcoin acquisitions, Michael Saylor’s firm, Strategy, declared a significant investment strategy by announcing the purchase of 8,178 Bitcoin for around $835 million. This notable acquisition marks a stark increase compared to the previous purchase range of 400 to 500 BTC per week.
In a disclosure submitted to the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, Strategy detailed this transaction, emphasizing its ongoing commitment to Bitcoin investment since August 2020, which has resulted in the accumulation of a total of 649,870 BTC.
The market for Bitcoin has seen fluctuations recently, with the cryptocurrency’s price declining by about 11% over the past week, reaching a value of $94,191 at the time of this report.
Furthermore, over the weekend, Peter Schiff, a well-known gold investor and critic of Bitcoin, invited Saylor to publicly debate the merits of Bitcoin during the upcoming Binance Blockchain Week in Dubai. At present, Saylor has not publicly addressed this challenge.
