Logos Merges into a Unified Identity for Advancing Civil Society through Private Technology

Logos unites three different teams to enhance its mission of revitalizing civil society with decentralized technologies.

[PRESS RELEASE – Zug, Switzerland, November 20th, 2025]

Over recent years, three distinct teams—Codex, Nomos, and Waku—have collaborated on vital decentralized technologies, each representing unique identities, communities, and product strategies. However, all of them shared a common ambition: to foster a social movement and technological framework to rejuvenate civil society.

Today, these teams advance their goals by merging into a singular entity under the name Logos.

This integration marks a significant step in a growing movement, with over 200 active contributors, 26 repositories, and 18 community chapters globally. Unifying under the Logos banner creates a cohesive technology stack that can expand and seamlessly integrate.

Historically, each group has pursued its own unique objectives:

  • Codex has developed censorship-resistant storage solutions.
  • Nomos designed a private Layer 1 aimed for sovereign coordination.
  • Waku has created a privacy-focused, peer-to-peer messaging service scalable to large audiences.

Previously operating independently has led to fragmentation and uncertainty regarding how these technologies could collectively facilitate truly decentralized applications. By coming together under Logos, these formerly separate components now establish a unified framework for constructing a free and open internet.

The Logos ecosystem equips developers with a modular, plugin-based runtime tailored for building decentralized applications. Developers can now choose the tools that best suit their requirements while ensuring privacy from the outset.

Reflecting on this unification, Jarrad Hope, Co-Founder of Logos, stated:

“Integration unlocks impact. By unifying the technology stack under the Logos identity, we provide builders and communities with a direct path to a private, sovereign digital life without compromise.”

This consolidation comes at a pivotal moment, with the various protocols for storage, messaging, and consensus reaching maturity necessary to create a superior ecosystem. Future plans include launching a comprehensive toolset enabling seamless development and operation of sovereign digital infrastructures.

Features of the Logos toolkit will encompass:

  • Broad public accessibility from launch.
  • An enhanced developer experience with detailed documentation.
  • Early-stage applications addressing viable use cases.
  • Liquidity channels and distribution networks reachable by non-specialists.

The main objective is to establish a functional, privacy-focused network accessible immediately. Logos anticipates launching a public testnet in 2026, followed by a mainnet in 2027.

The Logos team underscores that their initiative extends beyond mere technology; it embodies a movement for builders, adventurers, and visionaries. They aspire to initiate a new era of freedom, aiming to restore agency, trust, and civic influence by equipping individuals with the means to innovate through decentralized technology.

Those keen on joining this movement ahead of the mainnet launch will have the opportunity to operate a node and earn incentives as early adopters. More details regarding the Logos node program are available at: Logos – take action

This consolidation is not just strategic; it is vital to fulfilling the mission of empowering individuals, communities, markets, and institutions to work on a voluntary and privacy-centric basis, thus protecting their civil rights and digital freedoms.
