MultiVM Launches on Supra Testnet, Enhancing EVM Compatibility

Supra has launched its MultiVM testnet, catering to both EVM and MoveVM developers, aiming to create high-performance applications across various ecosystems.

[PRESS RELEASE – Zug, Switzerland, November 19th, 2025]

Supra, which powers MultiVM smart contract execution with features like native oracles, dVRF, and cross-chain communication, announced today that applications for its MultiVM testnet are now open. This announcement was made during the keynote at Devconnect Buenos Aires, as part of Multichain Day.

Jon Jones, Co-Founder and Chief Business Officer of Supra, presented this milestone, highlighting the upcoming support for EVM and MoveVM developers. This initiative aims to redefine dApp development by providing a robust platform for creating high-performance applications that can function seamlessly across different ecosystems without sacrificing security.

In his words, “We built MultiVM because we believe developers should never have to choose between innovation and access,” stated Jones. “Supra aims to give teams the ability to write smart contracts in the languages of multiple virtual machines and deploy them into a fully parallelized environment, while also accessing native automation and cross-chain services, all within one unified infrastructure.”

Supra’s architecture allows developers to write smart contracts in either Solidity or Move, with a planned integration of SolanaVM, utilizing over 600 built-in Oracle price feeds.

Joshua Tobkin, Co-Founder and CEO, emphasized that “Too often, developers are forced to compromise between ecosystems. EVM devs feel the constraints of legacy performance, while Move developers remain isolated from the liquidity-rich Ethereum economy. With MultiVM, Supra is collapsing the walls between ecosystems.”

Applications for the grant program targeting EVM developers are open, with $250,000 available to support innovative projects joining Supra’s ecosystem, eligible for grants of up to $25,000 each.
