Bitcoin experienced a remarkable decline to $82,000 for the first time since April, triggering nearly $2 billion in liquidations within just 24 hours in the cryptocurrency market. Notable names like Andrew Tate, who was liquidated for the 84th time on Hyperliquid, felt the impact of this crash.

Another notable entity, dubbed the ‘Anti-CZ Whale’, similarly took losses during this market upheaval. This individual strategically opened positions against Binance’s founder, Changpeng Zhao, revealing their contrasting trading approaches. This whale’s profit at one point peaked at nearly $100 million but plummeted to $30.4 million amid the recent turmoil.

Additionally, Machi Big Brother, another known futures trader, has been doubling down on long positions, even as he faces losses exceeding $20 million.

The total market losses have escalated significantly. Data from CoinGlass indicates that over 400,000 traders have been liquidated, and the highest single wiped-out position was worth approximately $36.78 million. Currently, the cryptocurrency market’s total capitalization has decreased by nearly $300 billion, hovering around $2.930 trillion.
