The cryptocurrency advocacy group, Stand With Crypto, is making strides to gather insights from federal and state candidates on their stance regarding digital assets in light of the forthcoming 2026 US midterm elections.
In a recent announcement, Stand With Crypto outlined that it has begun distributing a questionnaire to various hopefuls contesting seats in both state and federal elections. This questionnaire aims to delve into candidates’ opinions on critical topics such as digital assets, innovations in crypto, consumer protections, and de-banking.
Mason Lynaugh, the community director at Stand With Crypto, stated:
“The next Congress will have a significant impact on whether or not the US adopts the pro-crypto policies that will foster continued economic growth, innovation, and access.”
This group plans to utilize the feedback from this questionnaire to strategically support candidates who align with pro-crypto values, actively mobilizing crypto-supportive voters during election events. Previous actions taken by the organization in 2025 were believed to have positively influenced the election results for Democrat Mikie Sherrill in New Jersey.
Furthermore, as the elections approach, all 435 House and 33 Senate seats will be contested, alongside numerous state-level positions during the election period.
Current Landscape
Members of Congress are now engaging with their constituents during this legislative break while the overall progress on significant digital asset legislation appears to be slowly advancing.
Stay tuned for developments on how this initiative unfolds as it may heavily influence the participation of crypto advocates in the electoral process.
