RedotPay Collaborates with Ripple for Instant Crypto Cashouts in Nigeria
RedotPay has launched a service that allows users to convert cryptocurrencies into Nigerian naira, receiving payments directly in their local bank accounts within minutes.
RedotPay has initiated a partnership with Ripple to introduce a service named Send Crypto, Receive NGN, enabling users to effortlessly convert their digital currencies into Nigerian naira and receive those funds directly in their local bank accounts within a few minutes.
The service is powered by Ripple Payments and, at its launch, accommodates a selection of prominent tokens, including USDC, USDT, Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, Tron, XRP, and BNB.
“RedotPay is building stablecoin-powered payments that make digital assets as easy to use as local currency, where users can send XRP or stablecoins securely and receive NGN within minutes,” said Michael Gao, CEO of RedotPay.
RedotPay ensures that accredited users with local bank accounts can send supported cryptocurrencies and receive NGN directly in their accounts almost instantly.
In a statement, the platform announced that Nigeria ranks as one of the top countries in the world for cryptocurrency use, according to the 2025 Global Adoption Index by Chainalysis.
However, Nigeria’s regulatory environment concerning cryptocurrencies has become stringent, as evidenced by the overhauling of regulations by the Nigerian SEC and the lawsuit against Binance for $81.5 billion. Despite these challenges, Information Minister Mohammed Idris stated that numerous crypto businesses are operating legally in Nigeria.
In September, RedotPay proudly announced its entry into the fintech unicorn club following a $47 million investment round, attracting backers including Coinbase Ventures and Galaxy Ventures.
Ripple has also been expanding its operations, notably receiving approval from Singapore’s central bank for increased payment services recently.
