Status, one of Ethereum’s longest-running open-source projects, is back with the launch of USS Status, a satirical sci-fi cartoon that humorously reflects on crypto’s chaotic history. This release is accompanied by a unified privacy super-app and a gasless L2 network.

The Resurgence of an Icon

Status introduces a revamped unified app and a unique L2 network, emphasizing privacy and security. As an enduring project in the Ethereum ecosystem, Status has persisted through industry highs and lows, continuously evolving its platform, which integrates a secure crypto wallet, a privacy messenger, and a web browser.

Since its establishment in 2017, Status has experienced ICO exuberance, regulatory challenges, and exchange flops while striving to improve internet privacy.

Could This Be Crypto’s First Cartoon Series?

In celebration of its app refurbishment and the impending Status Network launch, Status has unveiled USS Status – an animated web series tracking a crew of meme misfits through a tumultuous galaxy riddled with surveillance and flawed governance. The series satirizes the colorful dynamics of the crypto world, incorporating familiar crypto characters and tokens into its narrative.

Episode 1 features a well-known crypto figure, although Status claims any resemblance is purely coincidental.

The Platform Supporting the Humor

The fictional USS Status operates on the Ethereum blockchain, utilizing technology from the Status privacy super-app available today. This app enables users to chat, transact, and browse privately in one place, with a newly launched app for both mobile and desktop.
