Pi Network Unlocks Path for Millions to Migrate to Mainnet with Enhanced KYC and Security Measures
Recent updates from the Pi Team aim to facilitate Mainnet migration for millions hindered by previous KYC protocols.
The Pi Network’s Core Team has released crucial updates aimed at assisting approximately 2.5 million users in completing their Mainnet migration. These updates, described as the third of the year, address ongoing complaints about the Network’s complex KYC compliance processes.
Millions Unrestricted
The Pi Network has faced scrutiny for its confusing KYC procedures. However, recent improvements are intended to enable millions of users, referred to as Pioneers, to finalize their migration to Mainnet. Reportedly, users who were previously unable to complete migration due to strict security requirements will now have their access restored, particularly in targeted geographical areas. Those actively mining Pi and who have fulfilled the Mainnet Checklist will have their balances transferred automatically.
Migration will progress in batches to accommodate different technical scenarios faced by various groups of Pioneers, including provisional KYC approvals and more intricate compliance cases. Consequently, users in affected groups will be activated as each tailored solution is implemented.
In addition to this, the Core Team has committed to allowing over 700,000 more users to submit KYC applications after previously being ineligible. As the system is refined to ensure compliance and integrity, new submissions will facilitate smoother migrations moving forward.
Will PI See a Recovery?
Despite the Pi Network’s proactive updates, its native token continues to face significant challenges. The token’s value recently dropped to $0.1514, constituting a 94.8% decline from its peak just a few weeks prior when it traded above $0.20. An expected daily influx of around seven million tokens set for release in the upcoming month may further amplify selling pressures—especially on days with maximum unlocks, such as February 13, where nearly 24 million tokens are set to be released.
