Jito Foundation Takes Over SolanaFloor Following Platform Closure

The Jito Foundation has acquired SolanaFloor to revitalize journalism within the Solana ecosystem after a security breach led to its shutdown.

The Jito Foundation has acquired SolanaFloor, a data and journalism platform focused on the Solana ecosystem. This acquisition aims to relaunch the site, which previously went offline after a security breach at its parent company, Step Finance, led to operational shutdowns.

之前关闭后的SolanaFloor平台,致力于提供生态系统新闻、研究和跟踪市场活动的数据分析。Under the new arrangement, the Jito Foundation has stated that SolanaFloor will continue its coverage of Solana ecosystem developments.

Awais Afzal, the editor of SolanaFloor, confirmed that the existing editorial team will continue to operate independently of the Jito Foundation. The foundation is known for its support of the Jito protocol, which emphasizes liquid staking and block-building infrastructure.

Further information regarding SolanaFloor’s editorial team and structure will be revealed following the relaunch. The financial details of the acquisition, however, remain undisclosed.

Step Finance Hack Results in Shutdown of Multiple Solana Initiatives

In February, Step Finance announced the closure of its operations due to a significant treasury wallet breach that resulted in a loss of approximately $40 million in Solana. This incident also impacted affiliated platforms, including SolanaFloor.

After cybersecurity experts became involved, it was discovered that over 261,000 Solana tokens were transferred during the attack. Security issues remain a critical concern in the cryptocurrency sector, with billions stolen each year, as highlighted by a Chainalysis report that ranked North Korean hacking groups among the highest perpetrators of theft in 2025.
