A wallet associated with World Liberty Financial, which is backed by President Donald Trump and family, has made a significant investment in Ondo Finance, the second-largest issuer of tokenized Treasuries. The transaction took place on the CoW Protocol, with the wallet purchasing ONDO governance tokens worth approximately $470,000 USDC. This acquisition follows an earlier investment in which $245,000 was used to buy ONDO tokens just two months prior, before moving them to Coinbase Prime.
The deal was executed on the same day Ondo announced it will introduce a new layer-1 blockchain designed explicitly for tokenized assets.
Currently, ONDO is trading at $1.298, reflecting a 3.7% decline in the last 24 hours, which aligns with a broader market downturn affecting the CoinDesk 20 Index, which is down 3.1%.
