Ripple Enhances Custody Services with Advanced Features for Crypto Businesses
Ripple has expanded its custody services to provide high-grade solutions for cryptocurrency firms, enabling the management of real-world assets and various cryptocurrencies.
Ripple, a leading digital asset infrastructure provider, has unveiled enhancements to its custody service aimed at offering high-grade solutions to cryptocurrency firms. This upgrade includes advanced functionalities that could enable businesses to manage real-world assets and various cryptocurrencies effectively.
The new offerings incorporate integration with the XRP Ledger, which facilitates expanded liquidity through XRPL-based tokens and the establishment of a native decentralized exchange (DEX). This could significantly aid companies in tokenizing and managing assets in a secure manner.
According to Ripple, the goal is to deliver 'bank-grade custody' technology to fintechs and crypto firms. They anticipate that the value of crypto assets held in custody will exceed $16 trillion by 2030, with more than 10% of global GDP expected to be tokenized.
This year, Ripple acquired the Switzerland-based crypto custody firm Metaco for $250 million and a similar agreement for Standard Custody & Trust Co., underlining its commitment to enhancing its custody capabilities in line with industry growth. Meanwhile, the XRP token experienced a notable increase of up to 3.75% on Thursday, its largest daily gain in nearly two weeks.
