If You're Engaged in Crypto, Shift to AI Immediately

A critical examination of how artificial intelligence is poised to overshadow the cryptocurrency sector, highlighting the need for adaptation.

For years, the cryptocurrency sector has positioned itself as a revolutionary force in technology. However, with the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI), it is clear that AI is the true technological revolution of our time. Consequently, the role of cryptocurrency may shift to a supportive one rather than being the focal point.

This is not intended to undermine the significance of the crypto industry or the innovations it has introduced. Having been at the forefront of institutional investments in Bitcoin and participating in various on-chain projects, I understand the impact of the industry. Additionally, my background includes a Ph.D. in AI, emphasizing the need to focus on developing intelligent systems that address real-world issues, regardless of whether blockchain technology is employed.

Among crypto applications, decentralized finance (DeFi) remains the sole segment gaining traction. DeFi outperforms traditional finance (TradFi) by offering superior engineering and programmability.

In contrast, the demand for AI products and services is burgeoning. There is a notable expectation for the integration of blockchain and cryptocurrencies into AI technologies, enabling organizations to deliver effective solutions across various domains.

This evolving landscape presents both challenges and opportunities for crypto-centric developers, indicating the necessary shift towards AI-centric innovations. As such, the time has come for those engaged in crypto to pivot toward AI.
