Crypto.com Teams Up with TMTG for US Crypto Coin ETFs

Crypto.com forms a partnership with Truth Social's TMTG to potentially launch crypto ETFs that could impact the US crypto reserve.

Crypto.com has partnered with Truth Media and Technology Group (TMTG) to explore the launch of exchange-traded funds (ETFs). This collaboration aims to offer a unique blend of Bitcoin, CRO, and other cryptocurrencies as part of the offering.

Crypto.com and Truth Social Parent Company Partner: Details

This setup will allow these two companies to create a series of funds under the brand Truth.fi. This joint effort aims to broaden TMTG’s financial services by combining popular cryptocurrencies with a focus on U.S. industry investments, particularly in energy, manufacturing, and technology.

Headquartered in Singapore, Crypto.com is set to provide the necessary technology, custodial services, and cryptocurrency supply to ensure the offerings’ success. The U.S. arm, Foris Capital US LLC, will be pivotal in facilitating these fund launches.

The cryptocurrencies expected to be included are Bitcoin (BTC), Cronos (CRO), Ethereum (ETH), and possibly other well-known altcoins, although the full list is still under consideration. There is no confirmed timeline for launching these ETFs, with regulatory approvals pending from U.S. authorities.

TMTG has set aside $250 million for these ETFs, with Charles Schwab as the custodian of this investment.

Bullish for the Crypto Reserve—or a Dent?

This partnership is in line with broader economic goals aimed at boosting U.S. crypto assets. There are expectations that increased demand for Bitcoin will push the SEC to expedite approvals surrounding the crypto reserve. If successful, this may lead to a price rally for altcoins such as CRO.

However, there are concerns regarding potential political controversies, as regulatory issues could arise. Critics also highlight the controversial history of Kris Marszalek, who founded Crypto.com, casting doubt on the integrity of the collaboration.

“Honestly? Not a surprise that Trump Media would partner with Crypto.com – especially considering the questionable nature of the founders and such…”

The inclusion of high-profile assets like CRO in ETFs raises additional concerns regarding market regulations and investor transparency. Despite promising prospects, it’s clear this move will bring both opportunities and challenges to the cryptocurrency landscape.
