Unicoin's CEO Alex Konanykhin seeks to terminate the SEC's investigation amidst a backdrop of changing regulatory attitudes toward crypto firms.

Title: Unicoin’s CEO Calls for SEC Investigation to End

Unicoin’s CEO Alex Konanykhin expressed his concerns about the ongoing investigation by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) into his company and stated that he has reached out to the agency for clarity but has yet to receive a response.

“I seek your guidance on the best way to address this abuse of power and bring it to an end,” he wrote in a letter to the SEC’s new Crypto Task Force.

Konanykhin pointed out that his company faces scrutiny while other crypto entities have seemingly been relieved from similar investigations, suggesting a disparity in how the agency handles cases under the current administration compared to the previous leadership.

Earlier announcements indicated that the SEC planned to accuse Unicoin of fraudulent activities and violations concerning unregistered securities during the last days of the former administration. Konanykhin claims these allegations are unfounded and detrimental to their operations.

The CEO urged that a review of the conduct of the enforcement officials involved is necessary, citing the aggressive nature of the investigations as politically motivated. He hopes that insight will lead to a resolution that allows Unicoin to proceed with its plans for public offerings.

Unicoin aims to establish a transparent alternative to Bitcoin. Konanykhin remains optimistic about making the U.S. a crypto capital, despite the continuing regulatory challenges.
