PayPal has announced the addition of Chainlink (LINK) and Solana (SOL) to its cryptocurrency offerings, allowing both PayPal and Venmo users to buy, hold, sell, and transfer these tokens directly from their accounts.
Key Points:
- Users in the U.S. will be able to access these new tokens alongside others already supported.
- The rollout will occur over the upcoming weeks.
- This expansion follows PayPal’s initial foray into crypto services back in 2020.
“Offering more tokens on PayPal and Venmo provides users with greater flexibility, choice, and access to digital currencies,” stated May Zabaneh, the Vice President of Blockchain, Crypto, and Digital Currencies at PayPal, in a press release.
Furthermore, PayPal has also introduced its own U.S. dollar-pegged stablecoin and allowed business clients to access cryptocurrencies from their accounts in the U.S.
