The Japanese company, Metaplanet, has recently crossed a significant milestone in its bitcoin (BTC) strategy, reaching a total of 5,000 BTC in its treasury operations. This increase in holdings establishes a valuation of approximately $428.1 million at an average purchase price of $85,621 per bitcoin.

In the first quarter of 2025, the BTC yield metric alone reported 95.6%, indicating Metaplanet’s dedication to using bitcoin as a reserve asset. Shares of the company saw a decrease of 5% in trading at the time of this report.
