Celyn Armstrong, general counsel and compliance head at crypto market maker Portofino Technologies, is the most recent senior figure to leave the organization. He has been with the firm for over three years in London.

Before his tenure at Portofino, Armstrong worked with various law firms including Dentons and Linklaters, along with a significant role at the U.K.’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Additionally, Cristian Dinu, a quantitative developer, has joined rival market maker Optiver.
Portofino Technologies recently indicated plans to expand with new offices in New York and Singapore after raising $50 million in equity funding in late 2022. It was founded by former Citadel Securities leaders Leonard Lancia and Alex Casimo.
