ProShares Secures SEC Approval for Three XRP ETFs

ProShares is ready to launch three new ETFs that will track XRP prices, following SEC's tacit approval.

Overview

ProShares is set to make its debut with three XRP ETFs after receiving tacit approval from the SEC. The new ETFs will include:

  • Ultra XRP ETF (2x leverage)
  • Short XRP ETF
  • Ultra Short XRP ETF (-2x leverage)

This initiative follows the conclusion of Ripple’s legal challenges with the SEC, which has now paved the way for these regulated products.

More Information

  • The Ultra XRP ETF is designed to leverage returns on XRP, while the Short XRP ETF and Ultra Short XRP ETF will allow traders to bet against it.
  • Recent developments in the ETF landscape include Teucrium’s successful launch of its own 2x XRP ETF earlier this month, marking it as the first XRP ETF in the United States with impressive trading volumes of over $5 million on its debut day.
  • As of last week, the CME Group has also announced plans to introduce XRP futures at its major derivatives exchange next month, joining its family of BTC, ETH, and SOL products.
  • This surge of ETF products comes on the heels of the resolution of Ripple’s prolonged court battle with the SEC, which was finalized this March, removing significant barriers for the adoption of these tokens.
