Marco Santori, who previously served as the chief legal officer for Kraken, has joined Pantera Capital as a general partner on their investment team.
Santori left Kraken in January 2025 and will be working to enhance Pantera’s cryptocurrency portfolio while providing guidance on regulatory compliance and strategic development for portfolio companies according to a blog post.
He will also continue advocating for clear and innovation-friendly regulations in the U.S. and across the globe, as stated by Pantera.
Given the evolving landscape of cryptocurrency regulations in the U.S., businesses are focusing on this area as they prepare for future developments.
Santori, known for his testimony before Congress on cryptocurrency regulation, played a significant role in creating the SAFT framework (Simple Agreement for Future Tokens), a pivotal aspect of compliant token sales.
“I’m joining Pantera at a pivotal moment for crypto on the world stage. After over a decade of work, governments have finally embraced the benefits of blockchain technology,” Santori commented on his new position. “The timing couldn’t be better, and Pantera couldn’t be better positioned to capitalize on it.”
