Tesla's Bitcoin Holdings Remain Unchanged Despite Recent Wallet Movements
Tesla has transferred almost its entire Bitcoin reserve to new wallets, but the funds are reportedly still held by the company, according to Arkham Intelligence.
Tesla has moved nearly all of its Bitcoin holding to new wallets last week, a decision that resulted in market fluctuations. Despite these changes, the Bitcoin is reportedly still owned by Tesla and remains unsold. Arkham Intelligence noted, "Tesla continues to hold its bitcoin stash, having recently moved coins to new wallets in a move that sparked fears of liquidation, on-chain intelligence Arkham said in a Wednesday post."
Bitcoin has been allocated across several wallets, with the largest possessing between $121 million and $142 million in BTC. The change was perceived as a potential sign for liquidation by some market observers, yet as of Wednesday, no transfers had been made to any crypto exchanges.
Arkham further reported, "We believe that the Tesla wallet movements that we reported on last week were wallet rotations with the Bitcoin still owned by Tesla." Overall, the three wallets with the most funds are valued at $142 million, $128 million, and $121 million apart, and the smallest wallet contains $74 million.
The discussion surrounding Tesla's Bitcoin holds will likely gain traction during its upcoming earnings call, where analysts anticipate an earnings per share of $0.60 (USD) and potential announcements about its Bitcoin situation.
