Brave Wallet, the cryptocurrency wallet built into the privacy-oriented Brave browser, will be integrating Cardano’s blockchain. This will allow users to send, receive, and swap ADA, as well as manage native Cardano assets directly within the browser.

• Brave Wallet will soon support Cardano, enabling the management of ADA and its native assets.
• This is part of Brave’s broader intent to enhance its multichain capabilities, which currently include Ethereum and Solana.

The integration aims to allow users greater control over assets without depending on external browser extensions. According to a statement from Input Output (IO), which develops the Cardano network, this enhancement will also facilitate access to Cardano’s governance features while managing assets securely.

Charles Hoskinson, CEO of IO, highlighted this development as part of the broader objectives to encourage private and secure on-chain governance, coinciding with Cardano’s transition into the Voltaire era focusing on decentralized governance.

With the introduction of Cardano support in Brave Wallet, further initiatives related to IO’s privacy-focused project, Midnight, which revolves around confidential smart contracts and data protection, are also expected.
