Medical equipment provider Semler Scientific (SMLR) has completed its third-largest bitcoin acquisition following its move to adopt a bitcoin standard approximately a year ago. In the period leading up to May 22, the company acquired 455 BTC at a total cost of $50 million, averaging $109,801 per bitcoin. This move, financed via its at-the-market (ATM) equity offering, elevates Semler’s total bitcoin holdings to 4,264 BTC, which were bought for $390 million and currently valued at over $450 million.
To date, the firm has issued 3,003,488 shares under its ATM program initiated on April 15, raising $114.8 million.
The BTC Yield, which assesses the year-to-date percentage variation in the ratio of total bitcoin holdings to presumed diluted shares outstanding, has increased to 25.8% in 2025. Notably, SMLR shares have declined by 5.3% in premarket trading amid a significant drop in bitcoin’s price, falling to $108,300.
