The Crypto Life (CL) Visa card provided by the cryptocurrency hardware firm Ledger brings exciting features to its users in the U.S., such as 1% cashback in Bitcoin (BTC) or USDC while shopping. Additionally, users can directly deposit their paychecks into the card’s on-chain account via bank transfer.

CL Card Availability

  • The card rolls out in the U.S. (excluding New York and Vermont) on June 30th, 2025.

The cards are powered by Baanx, known for enabling self-custody crypto cards for various platforms including MetaMask and Exodus.

Data indicates that household shopping was prevalent among crypto card users, making up 63% of all transactions, with significant growth seen in the entertainment and fashion categories.

Executives Comment Jean-Francois Rochet from Ledger remarked, “Living the crypto life means having ownership, access, and real-world utility over your digital assets.”

Simon Jones of Baanx added, “The CL Card is designed to step towards mainstream, non-custodial crypto payments, just reach into your pocket for it.”

The introduction of the CL Card is a notable step as major networks such as Mastercard and Visa increasingly embrace the evolving crypto landscape.
