Telegram Enters $300 Million Partnership with Elon Musk's xAI for Grok Integration

The messaging platform, Telegram, announces a significant collaboration with Elon Musk's xAI to incorporate Grok AI into its services, alongside receiving a substantial financial boost.

Telegram has entered into a partnership with xAI, a company founded by Elon Musk, to integrate the Grok AI service into its messaging platform.

The agreement includes a $300 million cash and equity investment from xAI alongside a 50% share of revenue from Grok subscriptions sold through the Telegram app.

Following the announcement, the TON token, associated with Telegram, surged by 18.5%.

Pavel Durov, Telegram’s founder, shared the news on X, emphasizing the collaborative spirit between the two entities: “Together, we win!

Additionally, Telegram is looking to raise $1.5 billion through a bond offering supported by firms such as BlackRock, Mubadala, and Citadel, aiming to repurchase prior debt.

Currently boasting 1 billion users, Telegram reported a profit of $540 million on $1.4 billion revenue in 2024.

The TON token price rose from $3.28 to $3.55, indicating strong market movement triggered by this partnership announcement.
