BitFuFu Achieves Record 34.1 EH/s Hashrate as Bitcoin Production Peaks in May

The Bitcoin mining company BitFuFu reported significant growth in production and hashrate during May, achieving a notable increase in operational efficiency.

Key Highlights:

  • BitFuFu surged its mining output to 400 BTC in May, marking a 91% increase from April.
  • The hashrate managed by the company reached 34.1 EH/s, up 20.5% month-over-month.
  • The firm strategically sold 178 BTC at an average of $104,000 to enhance liquidity.

BitFuFu achieved historic production levels in May, with a significant rise in its hashrate management to 34.1 EH/s and generating 400 BTC, showing a remarkable increase from the previous month. The bulk of this output originated from cloud-mining clients, contributing 357 BTC of the total production.

The rise in production is largely credited to a complete month’s utilization of freshly deployed machines in late April, with further equipment added at May’s end, paving the way for expected advancements in June.

The hashrate under management reflects 4.2 EH/s from owned capacities along with 29.9 EH/s sourced from partnerships. The average operational efficiency is pegged at 19.1 joules per terahash, with total power capacity amounting to 651 megawatts distributed across five continents.

Additionally, BitFuFu resumed the sale of Bitcoin in May after a four-month hiatus, liquidating 178 BTC to manage operational expenses efficiently around Bitcoin’s historic price peaks. As of now, the company holds 1,709 BTC, decreasing from 1,908 BTC by the end of April, ensuring a continued commitment to long-standing Bitcoin exposure while keeping flexible treasury strategies.
