Trump Family Issues Cease-and-Desist Against Magic Eden Over Controversial Crypto Wallet

The Trump family denies ties to the unauthorized $TRUMP wallet being developed by Magic Eden.

The Trump family has reportedly issued cease-and-desist letters to the parties involved with a contentious crypto wallet branded with the Trump name. This correspondence follows the announcement of the $TRUMP wallet, which has received significant backlash. All three sons of Donald Trump — Don Jr., Eric, and Barron — have publicly distanced themselves from any association with this project, asserting that neither their family nor the Trump Organization has sanctioned or is involved with the $TRUMP wallet.

“This project is not authorized by @Trump,” Eric stated in a post on X. “I would be extremely careful using our name in a project that has not been approved and is unknown to anyone in our organization.”
Translation: This project is unauthorized, and exercising caution regarding the use of our name is advisable given its lack of endorsement from our organization.

Meanwhile, a legal team representing World Liberty Financial, linked to the Trump family, has been preparing legal notices aimed at Magic Eden and GetTrumpMemes.com, who are behind the wallet’s project. This wallet proposal has embroiled the Trump family in controversy, particularly due to previous engagements with Bill Zanker, an associate who manages GetTrumpMemes.com via his Florida-based company, Fight Fight Fight.

Historical data from Chainalysis indicates that creators of the $TRUMP memecoin accrued $320 million in fees, while a majority of retail investors incurred losses. The evolving relationship between the Trump family and Zanker, previously collaborating on various crypto initiatives, appears to have soured, indicating a significant shift in their partnership.
