Overview
OpenLedger has pledged $25 million through its newly launched platform, OpenCircle, aimed at helping AI and Web3 developers develop decentralized AI systems.
Key Highlights:
- The funding initiative will enable contributors of code, data, and computing resources to participate in the value generated through their contributions.
- This move follows a successful $8 million seed round last year and a collaboration with Ether.fi to boost the development and security of AI models.
Impact on the Industry
The partnership and funding come at a critical juncture as AI and blockchain continue to intertwine. Recently, Telegram announced an agreement with Elon Musk’s xAI to integrate the Grok AI chatbot into its messaging app, furthering the adoption of innovative technologies.
“AI is currently an extractive economy, profiting from invisible labor and centralized training pipelines,” stated Ram, a core contributor at OpenLedger. “OpenCircle turns that model inside out. We’re building a system where anyone who contributes, whether through code, data, or compute, owns a piece of the value they help create.”
Additionally, OpenLedger previously raised $8 million to establish itself as the sovereign data blockchain for AI technology and has entered a deal with Ether.fi, which carries a total value locked of $6.5 billion.
