Elon Musk's X Plans for Investments and Trading Soon

X, formerly known as Twitter, is set to transform into a comprehensive platform for financial activities, according to CEO Linda Yaccarino.

Elon Musk’s company, X, is ramping up its efforts to evolve the social media platform into an “everything app.” In a recent interview at the Cannes Lions advertising festival, CEO Linda Yaccarino disclosed that users will soon be able to engage in investments and trading activities.

  • Investment Capabilities: Yaccarino stated that soon users will be able to manage their financial lives entirely on X.
  • Partnership with Visa: Earlier this year, X teamed up with Visa to create “X Money,” a digital wallet and peer-to-peer payment service, aiming to provide a wide range of retail and financial services just like WeChat, a popular Chinese app.

Quote: “Soon you’re going to be able to live your whole financial life on the platform,” said Yaccarino, emphasizing that offerings will include peer-to-peer payments, value storage, and compensation for creators.

Musk’s affiliation with the cryptocurrency sector, notably through Tesla’s substantial Bitcoin holdings, suggests any financial services offered by X might also integrate digital currencies.

X has not yet responded to requests for comment on this upcoming initiative.
