
Metaplanet, the Tokyo-listed hotel company recognized for its Bitcoin acquisition approach, has acquired 1,111 Bitcoin for $117 million. This latest investment brings the firm’s total Bitcoin holdings to 11,111 BTC.
The firm bought Bitcoin at an average price exceeding $105,681 per BTC. Following the U.S. airstrikes on Iranian nuclear locations over the weekend, the cryptocurrency markets took a dip, dropping Bitcoin prices to around $98,000.
However, Bitcoin has since bounced back, currently trading over $101,000.
This transaction not only increases Metaplanet’s BTC holdings to over $1.1 billion but also solidifies its reputation in the crypto market with an average buying price of $95,700.
