XRP Ledger Enhances Functionality with Latest Token Escrow Update

The recent update to the XRP Ledger introduces token escrows, permissioned DEXs, and fixes key bugs to enhance the network's performance.

Key Updates from RippleX

RippleX recently launched version 2.5.0 of rippled, which enhances the XRP Ledger with several important changes:

  • TokenEscrow: This feature allows for the escrowing of tokens, improving overall usability.
  • Batch: It enables the grouping of transactions for more efficient processing.
  • PermissionedDEX: This provides compliance features for decentralized exchanges by controlling participants according to regulations.

Validators on the network are urged to upgrade to maintain compliance and improve service continuity.

Additional Notes

The AMMv1_3 amendment implements stricter checks for automated market makers to enhance risk management, while two important bug fixes have addressed issues with NFTs and payment channels. The update aims to position XRPL as a more versatile platform suitable for both DeFi applications and enterprise-level compliance.
