Semler Scientific Expands Bitcoin Holdings to 1,058 Tokens
Healthcare firm Semler Scientific increases its Bitcoin assets, revealing an investment strategy aimed at maximizing stakeholder value.
Medical device firm Semler Scientific (SMLR) announced additional Bitcoin purchases in its third-quarter earnings report this Monday evening.
As of November 4, the company now holds a total of 1,058 Bitcoins, having acquired 47 BTC valued at $3 million since their last disclosure in late August. Overall, Semler has invested $71 million into these Bitcoin purchases, and its current holdings are valued at approximately $71.4 million based on Bitcoin's price of $67,500.
"We are capitalizing on the opportunity to maximize stakeholder value by accumulating Bitcoin," said Eric Semler, chairman of Semler Scientific. "We plan to continue to purchase Bitcoin with cash from operations and cash proceeds from our sales under our ATM program. Additionally, we are exploring further financing options to acquire even more Bitcoin."
The company's $50 million at-the-market stock sale program became effective on August 13, through which Semler has sold 86,734 shares, raising about $2.5 million.
