Humanity Protocol Launches $1.1 Billion Mainnet to Enhance Privacy for Web2 and Web3 Identities

The Humanity Protocol, valued at $1.1 billion, has initiated its mainnet, facilitating the connection of Web2 credentials with Web3 services while prioritizing user privacy.

Key Details

  • The Humanity Protocol’s platform utilizes zkTLS, allowing users to verify their credentials without sharing sensitive documents.
  • Initial support includes airline, hotel, financial, and educational credentials, with plans to expand into decentralized governance and on-chain ticketing.

Humanity Protocol, a privacy-first blockchain identity network, has launched its mainnet to connect trusted Web2 credentials with decentralized Web3 services through zero-knowledge transport layer security (zkTLS). This debut follows a $20 million funding round co-led by Jump Crypto and Pantera Capital, bringing its valuation to $1.1 billion.

Humanity Protocol’s zkTLS enables users to verify job listings or loyalty status without exposing private information. This approach helps avoid the privacy risks associated with biometric verification methods such as Worldcoin’s iris scans. Currently, users can directly link loyalty accounts to their “Human ID,” creating a portable reputation layer for Web2 and Web3 applications. Future initiatives include expanding node infrastructure and venturing into decentralized governance.

“Our mainnet release turns decentralized identity into practical infrastructure,” stated founder and CEO Terence Kwok. “With zkTLS now live, anyone can confirm who they are and what they have achieved across multiple platforms, yet no central party ever sees their personal information.”

The architecture of Humanity Protocol allows developers to create Sybil-resistant social platforms and reputation-based systems without collecting sensitive data, making it a notable alternative to Worldcoin and other similar projects.
