Overview
GSR, a crypto market maker, has formed a partnership with DigiFT—a regulated exchange for tokenized assets—to introduce secondary over-the-counter (OTC) trading for tokenized real-world assets (RWAs). This collaboration aims to mitigate the issue of delayed net asset value pricing in RWA markets by offering live secondary pricing.
- The alliance allows accredited institutions to trade tokenized units of funds such as Invesco’s iSNR, UBS’s uMINT, and Wellington’s ULTRA during Asian trading hours.
- The RWA market has surpassed $13 billion, principally comprising tokenized treasury funds and gold-backed cryptocurrencies.
Tokenized Real-World Assets
Details of the Partnership:
- This service is accessible across Asian market hours, catering to eligible institutional investors.
- GSR will offer systematic bid-ask pricing while DigiFT ensures settlement is compliant with Singapore and Hong Kong regulations.
“Our price discovery capabilities and systematic infrastructure support a healthy secondary market to help this asset class mature,” remarked GSR’s Head of Systematic OTC Business, Aravind Srinivasan.
Real-time pricing solutions implemented by the firms may streamline wallet processes for redemptions and enable decentralized finance protocols to better integrate RWAs. Trades will be executed directly on-chain, with GSR managing orders through DigiFT’s OTC channel.
