Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson Surpasses Kamala Harris as the Top Democratic Candidate for the 2028 Presidential Election on Polymarket

Traders are giving Dwayne Johnson a 7% chance of winning the Democratic nomination for the presidency in 2028.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has emerged as the leading Democratic contender for the 2028 presidential race on the decentralized betting platform Polymarket.

Currently, shares betting on Johnson’s success are trading at 7 cents, reflecting a 7% chance of his nomination, positioning him fourth behind Gavin Newsom, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Pete Buttigieg.

Conversely, traders estimate a 5% chance for Kamala Harris, placing her fifth, alongside Andy Beshear, while Tim Waltz, Michelle Obama, and Mark Cuban are considered with just 1% likelihood of winning.

Polymarket provides a platform for users to speculate on various real-world events, including elections. Recently, it secured an investment from 1789 Capital and welcomed Donald Trump Jr. to its advisory board.

Johnson revealed in 2023 that various political parties had gauged his interest in a presidential run after polls indicated 46% of Americans would support his candidacy. “That was an interesting poll that happened and I was really moved by that,” Johnson expressed.

Known for his massive social media following, with over 392 million Instagram followers, Johnson’s cultural influence as a former WWE star may play a pivotal role should he choose to enter the political arena.
