Following Donald Trump's friendly approach towards cryptocurrency, Robinhood has added multiple new altcoins to its trading platform.

Robinhood Expands Crypto Offerings Following Trump's Election

Trading app Robinhood has expanded its list of tradable cryptocurrencies, now including Solana, Pepe, Cardano, and XRP. This comes on the heels of Donald Trump's election victory, which is anticipated to usher in a more favorable regulatory landscape for the cryptocurrency sector.

  • With the addition of these new coins, Robinhood now supports a total of 19 cryptocurrencies for American users.
  • Coinbase, which previously offered trading on these new coins, has also started supporting Pepe as of Wednesday.

As the industry adjusts to Trump's presidency, many are optimistic about the prospective regulatory changes, especially regarding the Securities and Exchange Commission's stance towards cryptocurrencies. Robinhood's updates reflect increasing interest from users and demand for greater access to digital assets.

"We’ve consistently heard from our customers that they want access to more digital assets, and we’re excited to continue expanding our crypto offering," said Johann Kerbrat of Robinhood Crypto.

The news follows previous withdrawals of support for certain tokens last year due to regulatory scrutiny. Key stakeholders in the crypto community are eager for clearer guidelines from the SEC regarding which tokens qualify as securities.
