Telegram's Wallet to Introduce Tokenized Stocks and ETFs via xStocks

The integration of tokenized equities in Telegram's Wallet aims to broaden market access, with initial offerings set for October.

Wallet in Telegram is set to offer tokenized stocks in collaboration with xStocks and Kraken, targeting the US equity market. This partnership will initiate with a limited rollout of 60 tokenized equities, including notable companies like Strategy (MSTR) and Nvidia (NVDA).

“The rollout will start in a limited number of markets as we carefully test adoption and user experience,” said a spokesperson for Wallet in Telegram.

In October, users of Wallet in Telegram can begin to access these tokenized stocks in a new section titled “Stocks and ETFs”.

Exclusions and Future Plans

The initial selection will include 35 available stocks, with total offerings expected to exceed 60 by the end of 2025, exclusively featuring tokenized US stocks and ETFs, each fully collateralized.

“Bitcoin ETFs will not be included in this offering; however, Bitcoin remains available for purchase as a crypto asset via the custodial Crypto Wallet.”

Initially, the integration will focus on emerging markets, but specific jurisdictions have yet to be disclosed. Previous integrations have had restrictions in the US and other sanctioned areas.

Trading these tokenized products will be commission-free until the end of 2025, after which standard fees may apply.

The announcement arrives shortly after Telegram’s Pavel Durov expressed his long-standing support for Bitcoin, revealing he began investing in it back in 2013.
