DoubleZero Unveils Mainnet-Beta for Streamlined Crypto Communication
The DoubleZero network launches its mainnet-beta, aiming to enhance blockchain communication speed while minimizing reliance on public internet infrastructure.
The DoubleZero protocol, a high-speed network designed to facilitate high-volume blockchain traffic, has officially launched its mainnet-beta.
The network features over 70 direct fiber-optic links across 25 locations, allowing for direct routing of blockchain data, which is crucial in enhancing speed and reducing latency compared to constrained public internet pathways.
During a previous interview, founder Austin Federa remarked on the challenges posed by traditional internet structures, stating:
“The downside of the public internet is that it was never built for high-performance systems. It was always built for this sort of relationship of one big server talking to one little server.”
This launch not only marks a milestone for the DoubleZero network but also reflects a broader trend in the crypto industry moving away from traditional internet dependencies.
In a recent development, the SEC clarified that tokens generated by DePIN projects, including DoubleZero, do not qualify as securities, signifying regulatory progress for decentralized infrastructures. Commissioner Hester Peirce noted:
“These projects allocate tokens as compensation for work performed or services rendered.”
This evolution indicates a positive shift in the regulatory landscape, paving the way for initiatives like DoubleZero.
