World Liberty Financial (WLFI), a newly launched decentralized finance (DeFi) initiative backed by Donald Trump and his family, announced its collaboration with Chainlink to enhance its integration into the broader crypto landscape.

Chainlink will offer essential pricing data and facilitate cross-chain interoperability for the platform.

“The Chainlink standard is already widely used across DeFi and will help WLFI attract users that value the security and reliability that has already helped grow DeFi as an industry,” - Sergey Nazarov, Chainlink co-founder.

The project is driven by Zachary Folkman and Chase Herro, who previously managed the DeFi platform Dough Finance, which experienced significant asset loss due to an exploit. Members of the Trump family, including Donald Trump, promote the initiative online, with the former president serving as the "Chief Crypto Advocate." His sons, Eric and Donald Trump Jr., hold the titles of "Web3 Ambassadors," while Barron Trump is recognized as the "DeFi Visionary."

The platform aims to launch on the Aave v3 platform on Ethereum's mainnet, focusing on providing liquidity for ether (ETH), wrapped bitcoin (wBTC), stablecoins, and a variety of other digital assets.
