Former Premier League Player Embraces Bitcoin as a Wealth-Building Strategy

George Boyd, a former soccer player with over 100 Premier League games, is now a bitcoin ambassador for Jacobi Asset Management, emphasizing the benefits of cryptocurrency over traditional investments.

George Boyd, a former Premier League soccer player, made over 100 appearances and played in an FA Cup Final during his notable soccer career. Now, he's taken on a new role as a bitcoin ambassador with Jacobi Asset Management.

Boyd first encountered bitcoin in 2020. Initially, he was skeptical, but after further exploration, he now regards it as a superior option for savings compared to traditional investments in real estate or stocks. He believes that understanding the monetary system and its inflationary pressures is crucial.

In his own words, Boyd states, "I think that happened with Covid. Your eyes open even more ... I think the monetary system, once you do go around it and with inflation, how it's stealing from us."

Boyd highlights the unique earning potential and limited career span of professional athletes, arguing that they require sustainable wealth management for their long-term future. He sees bitcoin as a possible solution for generating substantial and generational wealth.

Furthermore, he critiques conventional financial advice given to athletes, advocating instead for bitcoin as a reliable tool to secure financial futures.

Other sports personalities also support bitcoin, such as NFL's Russell Okung, who opted to receive his salary in bitcoin, emphasizing the growing popularity of cryptocurrency in the sports community.
