Morpheus: A New Decentralized AI Initiative Launches on Its Mainnet
Morpheus, an innovative decentralized AI project, aims to mitigate the adverse effects typically associated with AI technologies. The project has successfully launched its mainnet.
Morpheus, a blockchain initiative aiming to decentralize artificial intelligence, has officially launched.
It was announced on X (formerly Twitter) that Morpheus is designed to address the challenges of AI technology, including issues like centralization, censorship, and monopolistic data control.
Additionally, other decentralized AI projects include Bittensor, dAIOS, and Boltzmann Network. Recently, Morpheus joined the Decentralized AI Society, which advocates against the significant influence wielded by major tech companies over AI data.
The platform operates using the Lumerin codebase on the Arbitrum blockchain, which is a layer-2 solution on Ethereum. Morpheus initially went live on a public testnet in July, promising functionalities such as personal AIs known as "smart agents." These agents can perform various tasks, including executing smart contracts and connecting to Web3 wallets and Decentralized Applications (DApps).
