Is Ripple Under Attack? YouTube Allegedly Removed XRP Content
Oscar Ramos, a popular YouTuber specializing in XRP, faces content removal and a ban from YouTube, raising concerns about censorship within the crypto community.
The rise of cryptocurrency has been undeniable in recent years, leading many content creators on YouTube to post videos without the fear of censorship that plagued them before, notably in 2020.
Nonetheless, Oscar Ramos, who boasts over 160,000 subscribers and focuses on XRP-related content, recently faced the very issues that many had previously expressed grievances about.
“I GOT BANNED ONCE AGAIN for posting about $XRP.
This time, my title and thumbnail are fine, nothing wrong with the video. Hey @TeamYouTube, I need you to
- remove the strike
- remove the 7-day ban on my YT account I’m discussing XRP Ripple Swell News and you think it’s… pic.twitter.com/gkDZbWW40d” — Oscar Ramos (@realOscarRamos1) November 4, 2025
Ramos voiced concerns about one of his videos being taken down, featuring the upcoming Ripple Swell Conference. He challenged the YouTube team to lift the ban, stating that everything about the video was acceptable.
Notably, other crypto influencers on X also expressed solidarity with him, with some suggesting that the ban was an isolated attack on the XRP community, highlighting that no recent videos from SOL, ETH, or BTC had faced similar fates.
Hours after his complaint, Ramos announced that YouTube rescinded the ban on his video, confirming that it did not breach their Community Guidelines.

Historically, numerous cryptocurrency content creators faced significant hurdles on platforms like YouTube in late 2019 and early 2020, leading to widespread bans and video removals. However, in the years since, such instances have become rare, surfacing primarily when offensive content is posted or due to genuine mistakes by the platform.
