No Surprises This Monday: Strategy Expands Its Bitcoin (BTC) Holdings

Despite a decrease in BTC's value, Strategy reports significant profits totaling more than $20 billion.

Strength in Strategy’s BTC Holdings

Despite a drop in Bitcoin’s price, Strategy, co-founded by Bitcoin advocate Michael Saylor, continues to bolster its BTC portfolio significantly. The company habitually announces new acquisitions every Monday since the previous year’s U.S. elections, and today was no exception.

In a statement shared on its official X account, Strategy disclosed the purchase of 397 BTC for around $45.6 million at an average unit price of $114,771. As of this date, the firm holds a total of 641,205 BTC, amassed for roughly $47.5 billion, achieving a Year-to-Date (YTD) yield of 26.1% for 2025.

Currently, the USD value of Strategy’s holdings is approximately $69 billion, equating to over $21 billion in paper profits. Recently, the company reported net profits of $2.8 billion, with an operational income of $3.9 billion, largely credited to its BTC investments.

Notably, their buying efforts have slowed recently, with the acquired amount over the past week quite similar to today’s revelation. Earlier in the year, some purchases had exceeded $1 billion.

Despite these gains, Strategy’s stocks have taken a hit recently. Currently, MSTR trades at about $270, showing a considerable decline of 23% over the month.
