Ripple's CEO Reveals New $500 Million Funding Round and Valuation Highlights
Ripple's CEO announced a significant capital injection, elevating the company's valuation to $40 billion amidst a successful year for the cryptocurrency.
Prominent investment firms, including Fortress Investment Group, Brevan Howard, Marshall Wace, Citadel Securities, Pantera Capital, and Galaxy Digital, have collectively invested $500 million in Ripple, as announced by CEO Brad Garlinghouse today. This funding round pushes Ripple’s total valuation to an impressive $40 billion.
“2025, without a doubt, has been an incredible year for @Ripple, and a record year for crypto as a whole. Although we have a couple of months left, this announcement feels like the cherry on top of a mountain of good news: Today we announced a $500M investment in Ripple,” said Garlinghouse.
Reflecting on Ripple’s achievements this year, Garlinghouse expressed that this investment is a testament to Ripple’s solid growth strategy anchored in XRP, as well as a bullish outlook on the future of cryptocurrency.
“This investment isn’t just validation of Ripple’s growth strategy and business built on the foundation of XRP, but also a clear bet on what the future of crypto will look like. I’m very proud of what we’ve built, and all that’s to come,” he stated.
During the ongoing Swell 2025 Conference, the Ripple team has highlighted successes beyond the $40 billion valuation, including over $95 billion in total Ripple payments, a stablecoin surpassing a $1 billion market cap, and over 75 regulatory licenses acquired globally.
Additionally, Ripple’s primary token, XRP, has rebounded from a recent dip below $2.10, now valued close to $2.30.
