Bitcoin Surges to $90K Following Trump's Non-Aggressive Stance on Greenland

Bitcoin's value has rebounded beyond $90,000 after President Trump's speech at the World Economic Forum, where he dismissed military force in Greenland amidst ongoing US-EU tensions.

In a highly anticipated speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, US President Donald Trump discussed key issues, including the escalating situation with Greenland and recent developments in cryptocurrency.

Bitcoin’s price surged, breaking through the $90,000 mark after a prior decline.

The Kobeissi Letter analysts clarified that Trump’s tariff procedures generally consist of a 12-step approach. They suggest that the existing situation between the US and EU is at step seven, which indicates that market participants often capitalize at this stage, igniting a brief market rally that may not persist.

This perspective could clarify the recent uptick in Bitcoin’s valuation, jumping past $90,000 after having dropped below $88,000 earlier in the day. Analysts noted that savvy investors usually enter the market between the seventh and eighth stages of this strategy.

During his address, Trump reiterated his stance on keeping US interest rates at their lowest and pressed Fed Chair Powell for a rate cut in the coming week.

Regarding regulations, Trump emphasized that the US must maintain its title as the leading hub for digital assets and expressed hope for the swift signing of legislation related to cryptocurrency, which had generated significant controversy recently.

Despite his reassurances of non-aggression towards Greenland, the EU appears to be firm in its position. Recent reports indicate that the bloc has halted trade deal discussions with the US following Trump’s comments on the matter.
