Binance Employee Victimized in Home Invasion; Three Arrested in France

French police apprehended three suspects following a break-in at the residence of a Binance France executive.

French authorities apprehended three individuals following an attempted burglary aimed at a Binance France executive’s residence. According to reports from RTL, Binance has acknowledged that one of their employees was involved in a home invasion incident.

The suspects, masked and armed, attempted to break into an apartment in Val-de-Marne around 7 AM CET on Thursday. They initially forced entry into another person’s apartment, seeking directions to the Binance France executive’s home. During this intrusion, they reportedly stole two mobile phones before fleeing the scene.

Two hours later, law enforcement arrested the trio during another attempt at a break-in in Hauts-de-Seine after residents contacted the police. The authorities managed to recover the stolen phones and a vehicle linked to the prior burglary.

Binance has confirmed the incident but did not disclose the employee’s identity.

“We are aware of a home break-in involving one of our employees. There is an ongoing investigation with the local police,” stated a Binance spokesperson. “The safety and well-being of our employees and their families is our absolute priority. We are working closely with law enforcement and further enhancing appropriate security measures.”
“Estamos al tanto de un robo en vivienda que involucra a uno de nuestros empleados. Hay una investigación en curso con la policía local.”

David Prinçay, the president of Binance France, remains unidentified regarding the targeted employee. Yi He expressed gratitude for the prompt response from the French police’s elite unit, stating that both the employee and his family are safe and cooperating with officials.

Days before this home invasion, authorities had arrested six individuals implicated in another crime involving the kidnapping of a magistrate and her mother associated with cryptocurrency attacks. Moreover, incidents targeting cryptocurrency investors, referred to as “wrench attacks,” have significantly surged recently, leading to an increase in serious crimes within the sector.
