CoinFello Unveils OpenClaw Skill for Enhanced AI-Driven Transactions

CoinFello has introduced its OpenClaw skill to facilitate secure AI-agent transactions, enabled through collaboration with MetaMask.

[PRESS RELEASE – Fort Worth, Texas, March 11th, 2026]

CoinFello, an AI agent tailored for direct interaction with any EVM smart contract, has launched its open source OpenClaw skill in collaboration with MetaMask. This innovative integration allows Moltbots, personal AI agents utilizing OpenClaw, to execute secure on-chain transactions by leveraging delegated smart wallet permissions.

The launch presents a novel framework for connecting AI agents with crypto wallets, while preserving user control over private keys. By employing ERC-4337 smart accounts and ERC-7710 delegations, the CoinFello OpenClaw skill allows Moltbots to provide other agents, such as CoinFello, tightly defined permissions to act on their behalf. This innovation enhances wallet security significantly, contrasting with the current norm where agents often manage private keys or API credentials in an insecure manner.

Emphasizing security, a user’s Moltbot can authorize CoinFello, and potentially other compatible agents, strictly with the permissions necessary for completing designated tasks. When a user inputs a request in natural language, CoinFello converts it into a delegated transaction and validates it through an assessment layer before execution.

“If we want agents to actively engage in the on-chain economy, we require a more robust security model than merely providing an autonomous system with a private key,” stated Brett Cleary, CTO of CoinFello. “The CoinFello Skill introduces hardware-isolated keys and detailed delegations, providing a secure method for AI agents to perform transactions while supporting the development of on-chain functionalities for the wider agent ecosystem.”

This release aligns with the rapid expansion of the OpenClaw ecosystem. In recent months, the OpenClaw GitHub repository has attained over 150,000 stars and 22,000 forks, with npm downloads rising beyond 416,000 in the last 30 days.

Traditionally, many AI agent wallets have given direct access to private keys or API credentials, resulting in heightened vulnerability. Some recent designs seek to address this issue by utilizing server-side trusted execution environments (TEEs), yet they still depend on centralized infrastructures.

The CoinFello skill adopts a different methodology. The signing key remains on the user’s device, while operations are conducted through precise ERC-7710 delegations. Agents can perform actions without ever gaining access to the private key.

Utilizing the CoinFello skill, Moltbots can engage in various blockchain actions through natural language commands. Supported functionalities include swapping among ERC-20 assets, bridging between EVM networks, interacting with NFTs such as ERC-721 or ERC-1155 tokens, staking, lending, rebalancing token portfolios, and facilitating complex trading strategies.

The CoinFello OpenClaw skill is built on the Agent Skills specification and is compatible with OpenClaw environments along with Claude Code. It is released under the MIT license, permitting developers to deploy, modify, and enhance the skill in their own AI agent contexts.

CoinFello ensures an open and adaptable system, where although CoinFello functions as the default Web3 agent, Moltbots can grant permissions to other compatible on-chain agents. Future enhancements will aim to broaden permissions frameworks and integrate further with the MetaMask Smart Accounts Kit for extensive portfolio management functions.

As interest in the convergence of AI agents and cryptocurrency infrastructure increases, the CoinFello OpenClaw skill strives to provide a secure basis for this emerging sector by connecting natural language interfaces with on-chain execution.

About CoinFello

CoinFello is an AI agent crafted to explain, execute, and automate interactions with smart contracts. Geared for self-custody, the platform is currently in private alpha for end users, with developer versions anticipated shortly. CoinFello supports EVM-compatible networks, employs EigenAI to establish a self-managed AI environment, and incorporates the MetaMask Smart Accounts Kit to empower users with control over their assets.
