Bitcoin Surged Over $69K, Oil Prices Experienced Record Surge in March: Market Overview

Bitcoin reached a new peak above $69,200, while oil prices saw significant increases due to ongoing geopolitical tensions.

Bitcoin surged to a new multi-day peak of over $69,200 as the market anticipates a significant speech from Trump regarding the conflict in Iran.

Most larger-cap altcoins are also in the green, with Ethereum exceeding $2,100 and XRP maintaining a support level of $1.30. ZEC and HBAR achieved the highest gains.

BTC Stopped at $69K

After a sharp decline that brought Bitcoin down from $69,000 to a low of $65,600, market sentiment shifted to ‘extreme fear.’ However, Bitcoin found support at these levels before dropping again to a new monthly low of $65,000 on Monday. Eventually, Bitcoin began to recover, briefly hitting $68,000 before fluctuating around the $66,000 mark as Middle Eastern tensions persisted. After Iran’s president stated readiness to end the conflict under certain guarantees, Bitcoin reached $68,400 but was unable to sustain it, hitting $69,200 this morning following reports that US President Trump would address the situation later.

At present, Bitcoin has slightly retracted to $68,700, managing to avoid a sixth consecutive decline into March, while its market cap rests at $1.375 trillion, dominating the altcoin market with over 56% market share.

Oil’s Month

Iran’s position as a key oil supplier amidst ongoing attacks led to considerable price volatility, culminating in a staggering 60% increase in oil prices during March, marking the most significant gain in nearly 40 years.

Meanwhile, BNB trades over $615, with LINK, ZEC, AVAX, and HBAR showing impressive returns among the larger-cap alts. In contrast, other coins like CC, BCH, and TRX are experiencing slight declines. The total cryptocurrency market capitalization has jumped approximately $60 billion in a day, reaching nearly $2.450 trillion.
