- The futures exchange clarified it was an “error.”
An earlier leak on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) website, which indicated that XRP and Solana futures might begin trading pending regulatory approval, has been confirmed as an “error” by a company representative.
“A beta page from our website was released in error earlier today,” the spokesperson communicated. “Many mock-ups are included in that test environment. No decisions have been made regarding XRP or SOL futures contracts.”
A screenshot hinting at scheduled futures contracts for XRP and Solana was posted here, generating speculation about a possible listing on February 10.
Following the post, both tokens experienced a surge of up to 3%, though they subsequently lost some of these gains.
