Boundless Launches Mainnet, Pioneering Universal Zero-Knowledge Computing
The network's mainnet launch enhances access to secure computing across various blockchain ecosystems.
What You Should Know
- Boundless, the zero-knowledge (ZK) compute marketplace founded by RISC Zero, has officially launched its Mainnet on Base. This enables all blockchains access to verifiable compute.
- The launch builds on the network’s incentivized testnet, which commenced in July and thoroughly tested Boundless’ architecture under real-world conditions.
During the Beta phase, Boundless acted as a decentralized marketplace allowing developers in need of ZK proofs for applications such as rollups and privacy protocols to connect with independent provers. The mainnet launch enhances these capabilities at scale, facilitating the creation of applications that maintain privacy while operating smoothly across different ecosystems.
Significant protocols such as Wormhole, BOB, and Lido have begun integrating Boundless into their systems to leverage its capabilities for enhancing security and interoperability across chains.
“For the first time, developers on any chain can access abundant zero-knowledge compute to build complex applications that scale across ecosystems without sacrificing decentralization,” said Shiv Shankar, the CEO of Boundless.
