Bitcoin Investor Converts $120 Into $178 Million After Years of Holding

An early Bitcoin investor who originally acquired BTC for just $0.06 has moved a substantial amount to an exchange, achieving a remarkable profit.

A Bitcoin BTC whale recently transferred 2,000 BTC, valued at around $178 million, to Coinbase after holding it since 2010. The user initially acquired BTC when the price was just $0.06 per coin, with a total market capitalization of about $250,000 and trading volumes typically under $60,000 daily.

This transfer highlights a trend of dormant wallets becoming active again amid rising market prices. Following Donald Trump's recent election win, there has been a notable increase in the number of wallets that had been inactive for over five years, reaching a two-month peak according to Glassnode.

Bitcoin is currently trading at $88,532, having come down from a record high of $93,214. Analysts suggest that the trend of older wallets waking up to capitalize on current prices may continue, potentially influencing future price movements.
